About the event

The 2025 Parade Committee of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, on the occasion the 204th Anniversary from the start of the Greek War of Independence of 1821, announces an Essay Contest for 8th grade students of Greek-American and/or American schools in the Greater New York area on the topic:

 

“What message does the Revolution of 1821 send to modern Hellenism?”

 

The essay should be in the Greek Language, between 350-500 words and be individually submitted via email no later than March 10, 2025 to nyhellenicsocieties@gmail.com Name, address, phone number, and school information of the student should be included in the email.
